Bent Arm Lateral Raise We see lateral raises often so this bent arm position provides some variance. It also reduces the stress on the wrist and less variability with the position of the elbow. We want to really watch this position from the front view. To maximize the effectiveness, we want the hands directly in front of the elbows. Often members are going to bring the hands inward. This reduces the overall load brining the weight in from the end of the lever. While we can always use it as an option, to get the most out of this hands would be in directly in front of the elbows.
