Low Side Plank Rotation Great core movement combining rotation and anti-rotation. Everything from the waist down we squeeze to keep as steady as possible. The rotation comes from the upper body squeezing the obliques to rotate through the upper back/thoracic spine. Very often members don’t even realize their hips are moving. We have to think of ways to steady the hips. This can be some kinesthetic cueing by holding their hips in place, placing your leg as a block, placing something on their hips to balance… We can always have them do some reps in the kickstand/kneeling position before moving to the feet.
