Y-Raise: Most OTF exercises ask for shoulder blades to be back and down (retracted and depressed). This is one of the few movements that actually call for scapular elevation and upward rotation. If we get members into a great starting position, it doesn’t take an aggressive angle to challenge the movement. Let’s have them actively drive the hands away from the shoulders. Always slight tension on the straps, no saggy straps. Core and bodyline rigid, no bends at the elbows and control the eccentric/lowering phase.
